LPG Prices in Pakistan Increased for June 2026

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially increased Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices across Pakistan for June 2026. According to the latest notification, consumers will now have to pay higher rates for LPG cylinders and per-kilogram gas supplies from June 1, 2026.

New LPG Price in Pakistan Today

OGRA has increased the LPG price by Rs. 4.96 per kilogram for June 2026. Following the revision, the official LPG rate has been fixed at Rs. 308.76 per kg. The new prices came into effect from June 1, 2026.

Latest LPG Rates – June 2026

LPG  Previous price New price
LPG Per KG Rs. 303.81 Rs. 308.76
Domestic Cylinder (11.8 Kg) Rs. 3,584.90 Rs. 3,643.41
Increase Domestic Cylinder _ Rs. 58.51

The increase means households relying on LPG for cooking and heating will face additional monthly expenses.

Why LPG Prices Increase

OGRA reviews LPG prices every month based on international market trends, import costs, exchange rate fluctuations, and local pricing mechanisms. Rising global energy prices and supply chain pressures have contributed to the latest increase in LPG rates.

Impact on Consumers

The latest LPG price hike is expected to affect millions of households, especially in rural and remote areas where natural gas facilities are unavailable. Higher LPG prices may lead to:

  • Increased household cooking costs
  • Higher transportation expenses for LPG distributors
  • Additional burden on low-income families
  • Increased operating costs for small businesses and restaurants

LPG Market Rates May Remain Higher

Although OGRA has fixed the official LPG rate at Rs. 308.76 per kg, market prices in some regions often exceed official rates due to transportation costs and supply-demand factors. Consumers are advised to purchase LPG from authorized distributors and report overcharging to relevant authorities.

OGRA’s Monthly Pricing Mechanism

OGRA determines LPG prices through a monthly review process that considers:

  • International LPG benchmarks
  • Local production costs
  • Import expenses
  • Exchange rate movements
  • Distribution and marketing margins

This mechanism aims to maintain transparency and ensure fair pricing for consumers throughout Pakistan.

Conclusion

The LPG price increase for June 2026 has added further pressure on household energy budgets across Pakistan. With the official LPG rate now standing at Rs. 308.76 per kilogram and the price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder reaching Rs. 3,643.41, consumers are expected to feel the impact of rising fuel costs in the coming weeks. Citizens are advised to stay updated with official OGRA notifications for future price changes.
